How do I sign up for Market-Q?

How do I access Market-Q?
Market-Q can be accessed from BD Corporate by clicking on the Quotes & News button in the main navigation bar.

What should I do if prompted for proxy information when trying to launch Market-Q?
Input your network login credential to bypass local proxy servers, or work with your IT helpdesk.

How do I return to BD Corporate from Market-Q?
When you click on the Quotes & News tab, your Market-Q session will open in a separate window. Your BD Corporate session will remain open; simply minimize or close your Market-Q window to return to BD Corporate.

What are the technical requirements for Market-Q?
Market-Q runs on Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista, using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or above, and Mozilla Firefox 2 or greater, and requires Java version 1.5 or above.

How much bandwidth does Market-Q require?
Assuming you're monitoring less than 100 symbols, the average bandwidth occupancy per user is 10kbps. Additionally, Market-Q employs an advanced hibernation technique that permits symbols to consume bandwidth only when they're in view on the desktop. Symbols out of view will remain in a hibernating state.

How do I add an additional exchange or mobile service?

What symbology is used in Market-Q?
Market-Q contains a symbol lookup, which guides you through the symbol format.

How do I monitor my stocks and funds in Market-Q?
Use the Watch List windows to monitor your portfolio in real time in Market-Q. You can also create up to 20 symbol lists, which can then be shared among pages in Market-Q, so you don't have to recreate them constantly. Quotes can also be displayed in Summary mode, which allows you to view the most number of symbols while capturing the key information on each instrument.

Are alerts supported in Market-Q?
Yes. Market-Q supports audio and visual alerts that allow you to monitor highs and lows, as well as news, easily.

What are some of the capabilities of the charting in Market-Q?
Market-Q's charting is very robust and supports more than 35 technical studies, as well as drawing tools. Tick, Intraday, Daily, Weekly or Monthly time intervals are supported. Charts can be displayed in Bar, Line, Candlestick or Area format. Symbol and study overlays are also supported.
